Biography of Elder Neoma Sarah NwanyiSunday Onyekwere, nee Onyemere

Elder Neoma Sarah NwanyiSunday Onyekwere, nee Onyemere was born on the 20th of May 1932 to an educated father that worked with the whites in Calabar in present day Cross Rivers and a mother Clara a sophisticated English trained seamstress and a very active Christian. She attended Ovim Girls and after taught at Ezeleke Primary school before proceeding to the University of California Los Angeles for a BA in Education in 1963. She was Headmistress/Principal of several schools including All Saints School, Library Avenue Primary School and retired from the Civil Service at the State School board.
She was anointed an Elder of the Methodist Church and conferred with Nneoma and Diamond Mother titles due to her commitment to the body of Christ.
Mum was dedicated to our Lord Jesus Christ that she fasted every Wednesday for more than 40years until her health could not sustain her with fasting. She did this diligently from morning to 6pm without fail!!
Today we thank God for a great life of glory, service dedicated to God only as we pay our last respects to amazon – that is fervent in prayer , love and the upliftment of women and children.
